Eating is a basic part of living, yet it’s become one of the most complicated parts of our lives.
We’ve lost the plot in a mix of rules, numbers, trends and conflicting advice. Does anyone know what it means to eat healthy?
Eat this. Not that. Eat at this time, not that time. Don’t eat carbs. Eat all of the sourdough.
Workout fasted. No, wait. Only on Tuesdays.
How to Eat is my attempt to quiet some of that noise.
You won’t find the five things you must eat every day or the exact grams of anything.
If you’re questioning how to eat healthy and feeling overwhelmed by all the information, trends and rules, this series is for you.

This series is about the choices we make for our own bodies. The choices we make because they feel good.
And learning to eat in a way that truly nourishes you—mind, body and joy.
Not perfect. Better and better.
Why Are You Eating?
The Questions that Changed How I Experience Food

What the F Do I Eat?
I’m not big on rules, but if I had to give you rules to follow they would be based on these fundamentals PLUS something I know to be true in my heart that is starting to gain some traction in the wellness world.

How Much Should I Eat?
When I started getting serious about weight training, I also started hearing the noise.
“Eat to fuel your workout,” “You need this many calories a day.” “You need protein before your workout.” “You need more carbs.”
And then, one night I was sitting in my kitchen eating another yogurt bowl at 8 p.m. and I thought, “This doesn’t feel right.”
And yet, I kept eating.
I was doing what many of us do: listening to everyone and everything, except my own body.
